Stir-Fried Scallops with Broccoli

Ingredients

Cooking time: ​30 minutes

Serves 2-3​

​(suggested to serve with a bowl of rice)

  • 8 scallops

  • 1-2 heads of broccoli

  • 4 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp cooking wine

  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions​

Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Soak the broccoli in water with a pinch of salt for 15 minutes, then rinse and cut into small florets.

  2. Finely chop the garlic.

  3. Pat the scallops dry and season them with ½ tsp salt, cooking wine, and black pepper. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.

Blanch the Broccoli

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add 1 tsp salt, and blanch the broccoli until 80% cooked. Drain and set aside.

Sear the Scallops

  1. Heat a pan with oil over medium heat, sear the scallops until golden brown on both sides, then remove and set aside.

​

Stir-Fry Everything Together

  1. Add a little more oil to the pan, sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the broccoli, ½ tsp salt, sugar, and a splash of water. Stir-fry briefly.

  2. Finally, add the scallops back into the pan, toss everything together, and serve immediately.
